In my new role as District Coach for the Baptist General Conference in Alberta, one mandate I have heard officially and unofficially is that we need to renew our sense of family within the BGCA.
There is a resounding desire to find new and renewed ways to work together and to accomplish greater things through collaboration and co-creation.
To help facilitate this we will be hosting a number of conversations in some key result areas. These conversations will aid us in accomplishing our mission to “Help establish missional, disciple-making leaders and churches in Alberta”.
We have a number of Zoom conversations planned for the coming month and there are more being planned for the near future.

A Conversation with Cam Roxburgh on Missional Leadership
Pastors and Church Ministry Staff members are invited to join us at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 10th for an encouraging conversation with Cam Roxburgh on the topic of what it means to be a leader that helps the Church join Jesus on mission.
Cam Roxburgh, DMin, is the National Director for Forge Canada and Forge International as well as the Team Leader of Southside Community Church in Vancouver, BC. He continues to have a passion for helping the church to join Jesus on mission in local contexts. He is the husband of one wife (Shelley) and the father of four kids. They live in Surrey, BC.

Board Chairpersons’ Zoom Conversations
We will be providing two opportunities for the Board Chairs and any other church Board members to converse about how we can all work together to help each church excel in the areas of leadership development, disciple-making and missional engagement.
