In October, we welcome our new District Minister, the Reverend Dennis Gulley! The call of God is on him, and he brings incredible abilities and passion to the role. He has many years of experience as a pastor and as a coach. Most recently, he was the lead teaching pastor of an ABA church in Leduc. Before that, he was an associate regional minister with the ABA as well as a director of a youth ministry program at Taylor University. For the last four years, he has also been doing executive coaching in Alberta within the church and the greater business community at large. He has a passion to mentor, to help churches thrive, and to assist with conflict resolution.
Dennis has been happily married to his wife, Joanne, for 29 years. They have five daughters (two by international adoption), two sons-in-law, and two grandchildren. He was raised in the United States. His conversion, baptism, and call to his first pastorate was in Portland. They then moved to Edmonton and began their Alberta journey.
Friends in the ABA are sad to lose him, but they say he is a perfect fit for our role. He has a huge history of coaching, pastoring, and missional conversations. They describe him as having a theological mindset along with faith, integrity, and heart.
Dennis, may God bless your ministry in the BGCA !
We also wish to extend our gratitude to Roger and Gail Helland for 13 years of service to the conference and wish them God’s blessings in their next phase of ministry.
